THE MISSION
Kapawi is more than just an ecolodge. It is part of a larger sustainable development project that promotes travel and conservation, cultural preservation, and community development in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Kapawi Ecolodge works closely with the local communities: Kapawi, Suwa, Kusutkau, Wayusentsa, Tsekunts, Wachirpas, Ishpingo, Sharamentsa, Tiinkias, and Napurak. These neighboring communities face many development, social, education, health, and environmental challenges.
Kapawi Ecolodge serves as a location for volunteers, researchers, and partner organizations interested in addressing some of these challenges.
We offer internship and volunteer opportunities for individuals looking for ways to contribute to the conservation and sustainable development of the Achuar territory. Some of our projects include: forest and wildlife monitoring, work with the local TUNA School, english teaching opportunities, and other possibilities to visit the area and get involved with the local communities.
If you are looking for an opportunity to get involved in our community and conservation projects, contact us at info@kapawi.com , or fill out the form below.
